What Split PDF does

Split PDF breaks one document into several, either at every page or at the ranges you specify. Type an expression such as 1-3,7,10-12 and each comma-separated group becomes its own file, which is the fast way to turn a scanned batch into separate documents. The split copies pages into fresh PDFs, so the original is never modified.

How to split pdf

  1. Select the PDF you want to divide.
  2. Enter the ranges you want, one file per comma-separated group — or leave it empty to split every page.
  3. Press Split PDF and download the resulting files.

Privacy

The PDF is opened in the tab and the pieces are written back as downloads. No upload takes place.

Questions

What range syntax does it accept?

Comma-separated groups such as 1-3,5,8-10. An open range like 3- means page 3 to the end, and -4 means pages 1 through 4.

What happens if I type a page that does not exist?

Out-of-range pages are ignored rather than causing an error, and the expression is clamped to the document length so a typo cannot hang the tab.

Can I split into single pages?

Yes — leave the range box empty and every page becomes a separate PDF.
