What Rotate IMAGE does

Rotate IMAGE turns photos by 90-degree steps and can mirror them horizontally or vertically. It is the fix for a phone photo that arrived sideways — and because it uses the browser's own decoder, the result is re-encoded cleanly rather than being a metadata flag that some apps ignore.

Does rotating lose quality?

A 90-degree rotation of an image that stays in a lossless format is lossless. Converting to JPEG does re-encode once.
